Mission

The mission of the Princess Ball is to celebrate the next generation of philanthropic girls as they dance the night away with the most important man in their life.

The Princess Ball evening treats young ladies in first through eighth grades and their fathers to an elegant evening of dinner and dance, while raising awareness for local children's charities. We emphasize the essential qualities of being considerate, courteous, respectful and tolerant of others.

The Princess Ball introduces local children's charities to the girls throughout the evening, develops an understanding in the girls that they can impact the world around them, donates proceeds to Children's Charities, offers tickets to the entire community on a first come first served basis and welcomes fathers, grandfathers, and uncles.

An evening's celebration of a Father's love and joy for his Daughter.
A bookmark in time for Fathers and Daughters to cherish the fleeting moments they have together.
A chance for Fathers to listen, love and rejoice in their Daughter's world.
A celebration of Fathers and Daughters and the love that is lasting.

History

...A beautiful way to make a difference!

The Princess Ball was founded in 2002 in the quiet Connecticut village of Ridgefield. It was created to capture the precious, fleeting moments that fathers have with their daughters and to inspire in the girls, compassion for others.

The first Princess Ball was held in February 2003 at the Ridgefield Community Center. Over 150 dads and daughters came out for the inaugural event. Since then, over 3,500 dads and daughters have attended The Princess Ball. Its popularity has been a testament to the great power of the father and daughter relationship. Guests attend the ball from numerous towns in Fairfield County including; Norwalk, Wilton, Westport, Redding, Fairfield, Ridgefield, Weston, Danbury, Brookfield, New Fairfield, and Newtown. We also draw guests annually from New York City, Westchester County, Litchfield County. In 2023 we welcomed over 400 fathers and daughters to the beautiful Ethan Allen Hotel. 2024 marks our 21st anniversary and we hope to see you there celebrating with us.

G.E.M.

GEM, Girls Embracing Missions encourages young girls with their fathers (and/or family) to engage in charity work that benefits one of our member charities.

When a girl raises over $100, she is presented a special charm at the Ball. We ask each girl to submit their story about their service to the Princess Ball Board.
